“Painting is untitled, but it's by the 'free' me. This was my first painting in years and came out of determination during a low that I was exhausted being in. I wanted soooo much to NOT feel like an empty 'victim' shell, leftover from a violent controlling relationship..shit I hated that feeling! Strangely but beautifully, this painting broke me from that. So it represents, to me, perseverance, self-belief, and resilience.”
